Default Powerflex vs Deflex?

Any opinions on either? Apart from Deflex being much cheaper?

Ive seen a few cars with then on and they dont fit aswell , the stainless inserts are way to short too . And when i fitted powerflex to my mk1 xr2 the rear trialing arms cam with stainless cups to replace the fords ones, deflex dont supply these so you just have a bush with no cup and after a few months of rubbing on the trailing arm they were fucked

Never heard bad things about Powerflex (apart from the price) , but you do hear of people with poor experiences of Deflex......

Guess i'll see how they go then. The saff only does around 2-3k a year, so should last at least 2 track days.

This just happens to be one of those cases where you DO actually get what you pay for. The longevity of the Deflex items is not up to the Powerflex items, this is why I recommend using Powerflex - fit and forget .

I've also never heard bad things about Powerflex, and yes some people are not satisfied with deflex. Most people said that the fitting from deflex was horrible.

But i still think that deflex is better then the original bushes (in most car's)

as above. on all the forums i've frequented, never heard a bad word said about powerflex. i didn't fir mine, but the guy who did was grumbling about fitting polybushes in general, but he was really suprised when the went straight in (powerflex)

Never had a problem with either company. I have also use the Rally Design polly bushes whihc were always a very tight fit. Rally Design also do polly bushes in black for those who want their cars to look orginal.

Had problems with POWERFLEX poor quality/shredding bushes, on two different cars within a year, both sets were replaced with DEFLEX, that was 4 years ago and still ok.
POWERFLEX are different, they are OVERPRICED, POLY is a cheap material to use and moulds can be made form easy cheap stuff with not a lot of work at all.

mike r recommends powerflex, would he recommend one he does not sell ?

Ah! yes this old chestnut deflex fitted in my car with no probs, they are made out of the same stuff as power flex

deflex cheaper, power flex more expensive do the maths

with power flex you are paying for the name imo

Why does nobody ever mention Superflex?

They are better than Powerflex IMHO.

I have used both deflex and powerflex and would say powerflex are maybe slightly better quality.
These are the ones I have taken out (not sure on brand but sold by a reputable Rs spares place) and were knackered after a few years but only about 10k miles.
replaced with powerflex but only because I had them in stock.

i can well second that mike
i've had powerfelx bushes on my cars for the best part of 10 years now (the same set of tca ones have been on a few cars and there is no difference between new and now ) yet the deflex ones my mate fitted have totaly gone to pot after about 3 years

the ones that rally design do
40 MINUTES to fit both side of outer tca's from powerflex
12 HOURS to fit both outers from raldes, they might as well have been made from chewing gum they deformed so much when hey were going on

i can't comment on other brands as i haven't had first hand experience of them, but, as mike says, fit and forget with powerflex

plus the added bonus of havin all the bits you need like sleeves and grease and stuff too so double with a to boot

Although dirty, the powerflex bushes on my Dad's car are in excess of 8 years old and are still wear free.
