car buyer who had got it into their head that they want a "EVO 8"
are you gonna spend 18 grand or 50 or whatever the 400 was.
that car "the 260" cocked a lot of it up.
i saw evo owners taking huge hits on depreciation, when a few years
before the evo8 260 they had excellent residuals

As you can imagine there was a lot of outcry from VIII buyers, especially the new ones.

Think its down to personal choice. Ive always had Fords, but always loved the look of the Evo VII.
Eventually in 2005 i bought an Evo VIII
What a big dissapointment. Dont get me wrong it was a quick car, but all the technology took the fun out of driving it
Within 2 weeks of ownership id had enough of it.
Took me 11 weeks from buying it to selling it & with spending on mods, i lost 3k
Really struggled to sell a 28.5k car that was only 18 months old.
In the end i p/x`d it for 16k against an 04 plate Focus RS with 8,600 miles for 18k.
Prices would seriously have to stablise for me to even consider buying another, but with so many models & variants coming out. 5,6,7,8,9 & 10 if you buy brand new or 1 or 2 years old be prepared to loose a lot of money on resale
