There are a couple of different 2.016v engines in the pug range.

Depends which one.

Karl has turbo'd the Mi16 and said his GTi6 was rebuilt (by him) with the idea of turbo charging at some point

BUT

The issues are the gearboxes I think...

Its not something thats done very often to be honest.

Try the 205 drivers forum- but be carefull of people who know more than they think they do....

the Mi16 comes in 2 forms
alloy block engine.. and 1905 cc
and iron block which is 1998 cc i think

the 2ltr ones are slightly heavier, and produce less power than
the 1905 mi..
but im not sure if they get the same oil surge troubles.

Do you have any more info on this, I will run throttle bodies or end up doing a turbo kit I think. I got lots of fuel system parts and a DTA management here so might aswell use it. T3 or something similar, just need to know about this oils surge business and what the rods and pistons are like

I think this engine will be the same as the s16 engine and the later 2 liter 16v iron blocked Mi16 engine. I'm pretty sure a good few people have turbo'd these on www.205gtidrivers.com so it would be worth a search/post on that forum if no one on here knows.

Being iron blocked with no wet liners like the Mi16 it should be good for turbo'ing I would have thought.
