may have found the ring car!
just purchased a lovely little german number.
3.3 litres,switchtronic,44000 miles and 9 months bmw warranty left!
alpina b10 !
need 2 tyres though 265/35 x18!!!!!
couple of quick pics-get some better ones later

i contacted a pal who has a lot of stuff like this and he has got a b3 alpina in at the mo-exactly the same.

apparently the car comes from bmw complete-with its bmw chassis no.its then stripped and modified to alpina specs and becomes an alpina b10,not a bmw 5 series.
its build no 140 so quite a rare beast.

Nice looking car.
I wonder if the saphire cosworth I looked at the other day was an Alpina then Couple more than 2 home stamped numbers though, and had it's own unique plaque under the bonnet
