Let my brother drive my car and he's only used to a 1.2 corsa. Didn't seem to mind taking mine to the rev limiter in every gear.

I wouldnt just let anyone drive my cossie.

Have let just 2 so far as there the only ones i know i could trust the power with.

One of them works abroad a lot so i have free access to his 2 cars. He actually encourages me to use them so everything keeps ticking over nicely.

So i use his civic vti-s for a run about and his pajero shogun evo for sunday best

my point was that if there a mate then you trust them, any real mates of mine will also be trusted to hold money for me and have the keys to my house when im not about cause,,,,,, well i wont call a person a mate if i didnt trust em

even if i did get another "decent" car then i would still chuck them the keys to drive somewhere if theres broken down

might just be me or maybe i have closer mates either way if a mate of mine did crash my car the first concern would be him as a car is just a pile of metal

also working at a main dealer you sometimes forget the value of the cars you steel the keys for to pop over to the shops and just treat em as pool cars

my boss's smax titanium is the best example as i chucked my tool box in the back of that a few weeks ago to drop off at my garage as he menioned im too relaxed about cars


not quite as bad as when i had a company car at volvo though, that was teken off me as the DP used it one night and it was showing a average speed of 63mph, considering i live in central london that was quite bad and telling him it waa due to me playing with the cruise control + and - buttons on the m11 and its cause i got 115 out of it he was most unhappy

I let Gary_R from here drive my car as he had only just passed his test and he was a bit scared in the snow. Everyone told me not to as he wouldn't take his own car and I was sorry I let him when he handbraked into a kurb at stupid speeds and my car became about 1ft in the air. Inexperiened driver's and snow don't mix.

AJ, yours is/was a 20k motor, but as you carried on at me to floor it, thats when I overtook them 3 cars

Depends on who`s driving, i`ve let a friend drive my m3 back from southend doing 145 at one point, racing a scooby....

There's only a few of my mates i'd leave my car with and not worry about it, but they'd leave their cars with me.

Got my mates 4x4 sapph last week approx 390bhp running greys while he was on a stag doo.

When he came back it had a few we fiddly bits fixed, along with a grp A pump and group a billies fitted to the rear lol oh and the front brakes changed.

My best mates Tom and Simon have driven my car but then they have done all the work on her and they also know if they break her they get to fix her

Much scarier being in the passenger seat tho after i picked her up from Fields last week Tom took me out and i think my heart actually jumped up and got stuck in my throat

i have no worries in letting people drive my cars....actually xrt-si took my cossie for a little drive to the roundabout all i heard was chatter and high revs....he came back with a huge grin and seemed to enjoy it.
I have driven Ginges 325 to 145 and he was in it...his missus prefers if i drive more than him lol.
so if they are actually a mate then i have no worries lending them a car

Pmsl they do all the work on my car so even if i broke it they would fix it anyway Not that its happened (touch wood) but even if they did break something I would still buy the parts, im not that mean lol

i'd be a bit worried about anybody driving my car who hadn't got experience of 400+bhp RWD cossies.....

i mean just driving it is fine by me, my girlfriend and my dad have driven it, also a few others...but actually letting someone drive it hard would be very nervy i reckon...even in a straight line it can be a handful

i'm a shit passenger too, i get nervous very easily

I've let 2 of my mates drive my cars and one of them scares the fuck out of me! The other was caught out by the boost and quickly changed gear but it did put a massive smile on his face! As for being a passenger in my own car it can scare me a little due to a bad accident I had a few years back but now it has been 99% cured I'm all good for a top speed run!

I've let most of my mates have a blast of my Cossies over the years.

There was one who had a shot of my 2WD saff and nailed the $hit out of it, rev limiter 2nd & 3rd and and flat out in 5th. Commented on how much quicker it was than his Classic style Subaru.

When we stopped i commented on how it was only running on 3 cyls due to him melting a valve

was quite funny really LOL

So far only a few have had a shot of my Evo.

My Brother gets to drive all my cars anytime he wants.
