Gareth - that they may be, but their boxes are shit hot I couldn't be without mine - it lives on the van out on the road everyday, bounced up and down over speedbumps, kerbs, pot-holes, and generally abused and it is still absolutely perfect I had a "Clarke" box from Machine Mart for 2 months, and it was trashed after 2 months! Snap On Boxes take some abuse!!!!

Oh I agree - I wouldn't DREAM of paying the list price for a Snap On toolbox! I paid Ł112 for mine (THIS ONE), but new it's over Ł600! No fucking way chief!
But for under Ł120 it's the fucking bollocks - tough as shit and extremely hard wearing...

I had the same problem last year when looking...... I wanted summit cheap but good quality....lol, ended up with the Halfords Professional rollcab and top box.... which I'm now selling as I'm moving jobs again and won't need my tools and I worry about having all my tools in a toolbox/rollcab as it's stored in a block of garages so "if" someone breaks in it's too easy to lift the lot in 1 go I've had Mac and Snap On boxes b4 and was seriously impressed with the Halfords kit
