Did Clarkson say TG was over on the radio?
Hi all, apparently my sis in law heard JC say Top Gear was ending for good on Radio 1, but BBC said it'll be back soon? Anyone hear exactly what was said? I hope not, just spent £8k between my mate and me kitting out a new Rescue Unit for the nest series!
Anyone hear it?

There's a thread about this allready on GD but in short, JC wrote in his newspaper colum that he doesn't want to do another series so hasn't signed up, however the BBC say it will be back...

Doesnt Clarkson have some right over to the Top Gear name? I seem to remember an article before the new style show started saying he had certain rights to how the name was used.
I hope (and probably am) very, very wrong.

We're trying to get alot more Motorsport orientated events under our belt, but we all love doing the TG stuff, hence me putting this post up as I was worried what I heard, and I love the show and would hate to see it leave our screens.

maybe he owns the hanger?
i rememebr that there was soemthing about him owning soemthing in relation to where top gear was filmed, so perhaps he's just bought a share of the property? it's not like he can't afford to is it
or perhaps he's bought the name rights to top gear or soemthing? i know that the bbc were very harsh on people who used the top gear name in relation to anything but recently there have been dozons of times i've seen it croppingup, some magazines even have a "top gear" section for, surprisingly, advertising "top" "gear"

Nothing to do with wages apparently
"Clarkson and his co-presenters James May and Richard Hammond are said to be in a disagreement with producers, as they want the cars to be the stars of the show, and not the increasing appearances by celebrity guests."

the celebs take 5 minutes to do their bits
the rest of the time it's the 4 presenters hooning abuot in cars, sitting talking pub stuff or slagging of each other
anyway, james put a bit about it in the paper so he's going to be a little pissed ain't he? they do everything else equally so why shouldn't they get paid equally?
