does it surge? as looks like the boost is held back between 3800 and 4300rpm.

What cams are in it? - peak power around standard rpm - good bottom end, hope it puts you where you want in time attack

For a high comp engine I expected to see more torque than that on the SUL graph.

Also did it really run out of puff @ 7K or were no pulls done over 7K ?

Good power for a GT30

Dont mean to pull apart your graph as its very impressive but like dumped said the power does seem to start to tail off at 7k.

my car actually makes more power at 4k and thats in car at the wheels against dyno flywheel so its not as if it has a great bottom end and sacrficing the top

dont think it does come in early..

my t4 comes in a good bit quicker as i have 2.5 bar at 4k and my power is still climbing at 8K although very slowly.

Yes, ur right - but im talking more about the boost threshold - ie where u have more than 90% boost. It will always vary after that.

on the Race fuel graph the boost is even higher up

looks like the boost is being held back by the dyno maybe?

Reckon my engine would match that SUL graph on a dyno but with more power down the bottom and thats using a old truck turbo

Have been looking at the graphs in a bit more detail and based on the SUL graphs i reckon my mega low comp T4 engine (on a dyno) would be less laggy, match it for power and be able to be held down a runway time after time.

maybe high comp aint all its cracked up to be

will be on rollers 21st april proof will be in pudding

euan get your car round donington see how good ur t4 taxi is

Thats because we own the 2 fastest Sapphires in the UK. .

100 ish bhp transmission losses about right at over 600bhp been there proved that.

Good figures Steve, you are finding out why my Graph wont be put up on here.
By the way experts my last engine made its peak Power at 6.8k & that seemed to go better than most. . Expect Steves engine is still over 600bhp at 8K . .

i would agree that trans losses will be around 80-90 bhp, but time and time again the Euan and his crew say 20-30 bhp on a 2wd.

Ive got a question
How high is your high comp build? If you dont fancy putting the exact details up the higher or lower than std would be a start
