My 395bhp was done with very high ACTs and the WI flat out (I'm sure you understand the implications of that) .

Funny how my "paltry" power figure was good enough to see 180+mph run after run . Yet your 60bhp @ the wheels more saw only a couple of mph better .

mike........ run after run - I stood on a cold day at brunters while you car was mapped, then run after run after run failed to hit 180.... almost hit the trees though! At the end of the day after going round enough times to make everyone sick with dizzyness it finally squeezed one little 180.something.

You'll back this up with excuses etc etc but thats definately what happened that day end of


Shaun - why no TA? - I thought that was what it was build for or is the driver getting an uprate this year?

That's because I didn't know where to brake (my first ever time there) - also as you WELL know, that day had a severe head wind, yet I STILL managed 180 . RW was there with 30bhp more at the wheels than his previous time, but due to the severe conditions only managed a whole 0.2mph better .

After that day, in more favourable conditions, my car was able to bang out 180mph straight off .Anyway, stop trying to ruin Steve's post .

As for steves car - engine looks absolute mint for intended purpose and a years cover as si norris knows its intended use is perfect

Mike...my car hit over 180 on first serious run

Give me a few more attempts and it would have seen more as the 185 run was done with totally shit ABS on the whole way while braking...

Brakes have now been inproved to be very afraid

You know fine well how much more power you need even just to hit 1mph more

its not a competition anyway mate...i was mearly using you as an example

Martin,
A number of reasons, but partly down to the fact that I am not 100% sure the car will be ready for the first round and I didnt want to do Knockhill as the intention is to compete in TOTB again this year (which is the day after).

Always next year and plenty of events to do this year in any case.
