Default miss fire on saff cos

please,please please cauld somebody help me i got a stage 3 saff cos and it has got a miss fire at about 5k, a few people have looked at it but no joy as of yet, has any one got any ideas because its doin my head in?

Have you tried the usual: plugs, leads, rotor arm & cap?

Also, is it just a missfire, or does it 'hit a brick wall' that you can't rev' past?

Billabong he has done plugs and leads not that long back maby a month or so , it feels like its hittin a brick walk and just pop and bangs alot when it gets there,

I read somewhere that most misfires beyond peak torque are caused by HT issues.

Dicko - if you're using 071's, whip em out and check the lead caps at the top are tight. A quick nip in the vice can stop them working loose. I know they're new but I had no end of problems with mine coming loose.

What gaps are you running?

head gasket......................just kidding.....maybe ur running too much boost and its blowing the spark out at high revs...has it been set up properly or D.I.Y

Just take it to MSD or a well known tuner with a good rep and it'll be sorted straight away, probs something stupid anyway mate

Had the same poblem, changed the plugs to the 071's and cured the splutter at 4/5k but have a idle problem now

we only just got it stage 3 yesterday so not been set up or running much boost tbh think its pekin at 20psi , he had the same prob before the change to stage 3 , ill give him a call tell him to grab some 071's gap them to 0.55 and check his leads and phase
