yeah, and theyre trying to make us pay for it. i'm sure they cant do it, so im gonna get one of our lawyers at work to take a quick look at the hire agreement.

Jim - looked on our system today
With maximum discount applied (30% off, usually reserved for AA members only) a non heated screen would be Ł425 supplied and fitted, and a heated one would be Ł508
So Ł325 is about right (guessing it's non heated?) but you could have it done a LOT cheaper than that if you go to a private company, not like Autoglass or RAC Autowindscreens who charge top dollar - smaller companies trip over themselves to undercut prices, so you could get it done for less than Ł250 I should think....
There should be something in the contract I would think that says you pay an excess for the screen replacement - not the whole thing!

We do 800 odd miles and get a stone chip 15 mins into the begining of the journey
