Ok,ive tried to sort itmyself for a few days,but ive had no joy...

Basicley someone has got in to my hotmail/msn account,and changed my passwords and secret question answer!!!!

Ok,im abit pissed that i aint got my msn,and that i cant get in my mail,but what im worried about the most,is that theres paypal,and other stuf along them lines in my inbox!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ive tried EVERYTHING to get back in to it,and ive contacted Windows live/MSN etc etc,but all i get is links to what ive tried,and i cant actually speak to anyone about this,and im gettin abit stressed buy it now!!

Has ANYONE got any ideas as to how i can resolve this,as im abit stressed now...

when you first signed on did you have an alternate e-mail address that you gave them for the activation...?

Same thing happened to Shorty but he had registered my e-mail addy with them when he created his account so he just sent a forgotten password request which was returned to my e-mail and he logged in and changed all his stuff and answers etc....

 

Thats just it,im 99.9% sure i did,when i took up the account,but im not getting that option now!!

That was 1 of the 1st things i tried,but ive had no joy...

Any more ideas boys and girls???

The only way I can see mate is to ask someone on here who knows computers etc. to help you. Possibly secs or chip? If anyone can get it back one of those two should be able to.

It`s a doddle,go to www.hotmail.co.uk
and it will come up with a sign in box with "forgotten password" underneath.....

They will reset your password and send it to your alternate e-mail addy....

 

It dont work like that,ive tried..

It WILL however send it to my hotmail,but i cant get in to it,and there isnt a option to put in another email address to send it too,otherwise everyone would do it to get eveyrone elses email info??

Or am i SERIOUSLEY over looking something??

Go to www.hotmail.co.uk

Were it says sign on, click "Forgot Password"....Then it comes up type in your email address and the letters in the picture...

After this you then get another screen asking you if you want to send yourself a password reset email address or answer your secret question, click the email address one...

The next screen then says send email to alternate email address or your hotmail address, click the alternate, and voila, a email should be sent with a link to a screen where you can change your password.

Pete unfortunately hasn't set up an alternate e-mail, it is the same as the e-mail he's trying to get into!!!

Its happened to me twice now, the first time i had to leave my account, the second time i managed to save the account though using the above method

Sorry I cant help you. I am not the expert computer hacker that Ima thinks I am.

 

right mate, your accounts has been hacked, simple, they have either guessed your password or secret question,then chnaged your secret question. sneeky fooks,

one thing to do

ring microsoft and they reset your password. They are quick and get it done. Make your passwords bulletproof - use numbers, caps and weird symbols (Ł$@') etc

MS reading - they will point you in the right direction.

This is your only option if your account has been hacked.
Several of my customers had the amazing idea of using the words "password" and other obvious ones,doh. Only MS could help them.

You have to contact MSN Hotmail, and just explain the situation. They could get it back to you. but give me your email address and i could give it a shout

 

Just let all know you cant do fcuk all!

Dont you think if you could e-mail or phone up msn & they reset your password... oh right so i could reset anyones password!.. what are you guna use to prove its your account? you cant..

Well ive just rang them,and theyve give me ANOTHER email address to send too,so il just have to see what they can do..
