4x4 cossie owners ATTENTION!!
Has anyone changed their alternator belt tensioner before? Do you have to change the whole thing or just the pulley wheel?
I think the bearing has gone in mine

the main thing is just spring loaded
to take the while lot out
i think its a 15mm bolt that sits somewhere behind the p/s bracket
good luck getting to it
for just the pulley then just undo the the bolt on the pulley wheel
but as you undo it adjusts tension so your pushing against the spring and can be a pain
but can be done

No, it's not whining more rattly - but it shuts up if I squirt wd40 on it so I'm sure its that (I think ). I can see it moving slightly, side to side when I rev the engine.
