Default battrey pushing bonnet up

i have a heavy duty battrey on my 1.6 zetec escort as i go throught normal battreys easy lol

the problem is that the battrey pushes the bonnet up an inch or so and goes above the wing, and i don't want bonnet rasiers

if i don't have the battrey cover on it cates the terminals plus the try still fucking leaks after i filled the crack with silicon

does anyone know have to not make it stick up,

(and i'm not putting the standerd battrey in as its shit )

Why do you need a heavy duty battery, as this one is obviously not designed for your escort

Fit the right size battery!!

Size doesn't matter. You can get batteries with much more power than standard in the same case size.

Where did you get it? Did they tell you it would fit?

If they did, then get them to exchange it.

If the bonnet touches the +, you could soon discover that your escort is now a burnt out shell!

So, you've not used it....and the batteries died?

That's what they tend to do

Must be what? Clearly its not the right size. What numbers are on the battery?

Should be an 065 or an 075 I would think.

My Escort R reg still has the original battery from when it left the factory

Sounds like you need a smaller battery as suggested

If a battery isn't charged regularly either by driving the car or by trickle charging the plates inside start to corrode and the battery stops working and won't charge. If it gets to that point it's fooked and will need replacing.
