Getting round Uni firewall
I want to use mIRC but I cant because my university firewall blocks me from using it.
Does anyone know how I might get around this?

Can't help you on that.
But an easy way to get round our work firewall (it blocks anything to do with sport for example) for the bbc website is:
Instead of using http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport, use http://newsimg.bbc.co.uk/sport
Of no use at all to you, but sure somebody might find it useful
