Theres alot of gun crime around London at the moment it's constantly on the news - rip to the victims

It's mostly black on black crime & now you've got the black community on the news saying something needs to be done about it & the police arent doing enough BUT surely it would help IF they helped put these people away instead of shielding them

I know there's an element of fear but after the successful conviction of a few in B'ham where the witnesse's i'd's were protected they should now start naming these people & making the streets abit safer for themselves!

gets more like america every day aj, the thing that worries me is the acceptance now, it would have been almost unheard of someone getting shot in the street years ago, now its not even a shock to me, its just something that happens these days, you even had some shooting and killing a copper a year or 2 ago. and the more common it becomes, the more people are gona come to the conclusion that they need a gun for protection. i think people are to quick to pick up any weapon these days, there too scared of getting there ass kicked. lets just hope our authorities make positive moves to combat it, unlike the americans, who just blame hip hop

Exactly, poor old Rozzers cant do right for doing wrong.. if police presence is heavy in an area its racial harrassment if they back off then they are blamed for not doing enough.

Makes me angry really, we had that ban on hand guns in this country where people had to hand in all their weapons, the idea being it would stop gun crime, so responsible owners who went to gun clubs, collectors etc lost their weapons but now its worse than ever.....

The things is most of the ethnic minorities end up in the in city housing or less desirable areas and then the remaining whites just want to move away. Creating eventually no go areas where they fight amongst themselves or with anyone who looks out of place. More and more ghettos are cropping up and eventually every city will have them.

Even if its not no go most people just end up never going down there through choice. But i agree that if they pump more police in there and do something they get criticised like the Birmingham asians did when they arrested the 5 terror suspects and they actually got charged as well.

In Birmingham a club with 3 rooms has the rnb/rap room filled with non whites its sad but thats the way it will go no matter what the police or governement try, best just to keep away from those areas and those who carry guns. Let them get on with it.
