Default Overclocking

Where can I get some Overclocking Software for the PC?

I wanna test it out on my processor and graphics card. Its a P4 3.0 and an ATI Radeon 9800 Pro, if that helps?

software is wank

you need a decent motherboard that you can play with

why overclock it just reduces the lifespan of your hardwaare and with that spec there isnt gonna be anything that wont run anyway

So how do I do it with the motherboard then?

The PC runs "ok" at the moment, I just want a play

you need to change settings in the bios

if you dont know it DONT do it you will melt your cpu into your motherboard or the pc will jsut not switch on and u will have to start taking out the cmos battery to reset everything

the likelyhood is that if u bought the pc from a main supplier ie hp/pcworld etc the motherboard in it will be shite and not overclockable also

Sounds dodgy... I only want to make it a 3.2 for now (apparently it can go to 3.6 and I already have a massive fan on it)

In the BIOS you say?

If you don't see me online for a while... you know why PMSL

its not jsut cooling its voltage aswell

as you increase the cpu core speed you need to increase the voltage going to it, this is what increases the heat

most motherboards will not let you do this and most powersupplies are wank and will see massive voltage drops

AFPMSL @ You lot. Trying to add another few GG's to your already lightening quick PC's. Come round mine and have a piece of my 450Mhz Pentium 3 and you will want no more.

I have just upgraded to Windows XP and it is SO unstable. Piece of shit.
