im running an amd64 procesor with nvidia Geforce FX 5200 and i want to know if overclocking will benefit me? infact what is overclocking?

Im not sure whether you will be able view it because your not a member but you should join anyway because its an excellent pc/games forum and as i said they are very knowledge-able bunch

 

Overclocking the CPU will give you a bit of extra help (providing you have a bigger fan on it). You can't do anything on the graphics card tho

 

If you want to overclock for gaming purposes then get a new VGA card. If you just want to have a faster PC then yeah overclock your CPU. How much memory do you have and what speed is it?
