some wood
a few posts
plastic sheets will cost you a few quid
nails and screws and cement
plus someone to do all the work
and you'll need something to fix it to because freestanding means the wind can come underneath and rip it pu again

You need to bolt a wooden beam to the side of the house, add some fencing/posts to the opposite side, with a another beam of wood running across the top of them, then fit the plastic sheets at a angle(so the water runs off) to the tops of the wooden beams !!

thats kinda what i was planning, just not too sure about doing it myself, and as said, dont want the wind ripping it up, as it will be covering the saff, and anything could fall on it

Me and my mate re-did his car port, and he has a set of doors on the front but nothing at the back, but his house is not in the open. Make sure the bolts are bolted well into the outside house wall, you could run beams from the house to the posts or fence to help keep the roof on, aslong as its bolted together well and you dont live in an open field it should be ok

Materials 300 ish, using cheap roofing sheats. up to 1300 for 5wall pollycarbonate.
size approx 4 meters wide by 6 meters long
labour depends on putting up posts ie have u got to break up any concrete to put the posts in, do you want to put guttering on it, do you want to dig a soakaway, to dicharge the water into, if its all straight foreward, shouldnt take more than 2-3 days approx. for 2 people, so about 900, labour
