Yesterday whilst on a job i had the pleasure of visting the new wembley stadium, security was so strict and so was health and safety but i suppose its best to be safe than not.

Anyway when i was in one of the box rooms, the view is amazing, although it DOESNT look like a 90,000 capacity stadium. Apparently to hire one of the corporate boxes its 250k per year!!

Anyway was an excellent afternoon so i thought id let you all know!!

i wonder how long it will last with 90'000 people in it shouting, it will prob fall down

yer it looks tops son, you can drive right up to it on public roads, although the car parks are still being done!!

well lets hope for a miracle that leeds will make it into the play offs next season as thats the only way ill get to go

Probably shouldnt say this but my g/f's step bro was one of the heads of finance on it working for Multiplex. His contract ran out when it was due to be finished, years ago!

The stadium is still owned by multiplex though so he should techniclly still have a job there! Its not signed over untill the last screw has been checked once twice and once again!

I was speaking to security (as thats my trade) and thye said its behind due to the contractors, as they get paid per day rather than per task

I qupte, the tradesman were installing the seats then slashing them the same day, so thye would eneed to come back and fit a replacment, more money for them but a pain in the arse for us!!

He was relocated to London from Sydney to manage the key finance phases and was under a very good contract including return flights back to Oz. His contract was up in 2004 IIRC at which point he went off on his own. He now owns a development firm and lives in Switzerland.
