Default Okay It's decision time...new car

After the RS went walkies with some people who i sincerely hope kill themselves driving it, I need to get a new car. I could wait for the insurance settlement and have about 22k to spend or I could buy one for 8k ish now and pay off my loan with the insurance money. Still undecided what to do but I do like the idea of paying out Ł300 less a month! But what to get? My only boundaries are it has to be less than 4yrs old, not a 2-seater or convertible. I quite like these...

180bhp quite a fun drive, or maybe..

Same vein as the focus and more or less as quick. Or do I wait and buy an m3? Possibly a Merc C-coupe but it'd have to be the v6 270bhp one and I don't know a lot about them...RWD?

What do you think...any other ideas people?

Not the 206 - you'll be bored out of your mind.

As for the finances, up to you....

Just nice cars in their own right..

Or buy a 206 and spend every day crying that you bought a car that labels you a bloody hairdresser.

The 206 has the most unconvincing "door closing" sound ever. It just sounds like the car is made out of tin and paper and it makes a horrible clanging noise

Fuck it, just buy a Honda NSX, or an Integra Type R

what ever it is mate, you need to make sure its a turbo (unless it has a M badge on it)

Anything else will seem very very slow after your FRS.

In your situation i would be looking to buy 2 cars, one runabout to leave at the station everyday and one to leave at home so it dont get nicked

I quite like the new Audi S3

Get a Mondeo ST220, Will pick them up cheap as chips when the mondeo comes out. Doubt it will be as exciting as your RS though.

The Fiesta ST's have been flooding the market and theres soo many forsale now its driving the price down and its only going to get worse as they get older. IMO the Fiesta ST's are too slow for the money but its what ever you like

What compared to a Pug 206 180?

From what Bish was saying on Friday night, IIRC its only a stop gap until something better comes along
