paul,

heres a perfect example of ebay thick coonts,,,

ive just sold al my old cossie spares on there,

put * PAYPAL ONLY * and all items started at 99p with no reserve.

i had about 6 or more emails with dumn cunts asking what i would take for them cash? well i dont know - seing as i put it up for 99p, id be happy at that BUT it is an auction, the person who wants it the most gets it - i may get 10x what i thought it was worth!

and then u get the 2 or 3 people at the end who have won the auctions with the explicit instructions *PAYPAL ONLY* who dont have paypal accounts and then have the cheek to ask if they can have my bank details to transfer the money - yeh right m8. t0ssers.

they just dont read or cant read

i dont personally see why you are taking the piss out of someone asking if the wheels would fit a saff seems a perfectly reasonable question to me,would you laugh at someone on the end of a phone if they genuinely asked that question?not everyone knows EVERY different combination of parts and compatibility across the range, but as an rs breaker you would be the person to ask i would think.
i email first, then if the reply is good (some jokers want silly money for parts and postage and i prefer not to have an awkward silence as i tell them a 15 year old bmw diff is NOT worth 150 quid plus 50 postage!)i will phone to pursue the matter. it also costs zero to email and its easier to remember who you got what replies from if they are written down.

Are you the only guy that works at your place? or have you a few?

If its just you I can understand about going through loads of email / time etc..

I run a small shop on ebay and yeh you do get silly and pointless questions .. But on the other hand like today I got an email via there asking if I had any more TB`s in stock I had none on ebay at this time but I did have one in the workshop about 3mins later I get funds launched into my paypal.

If done right you could have alot more income from ebay..

Good luck but dont give up just yet

Daz

just me and the missus ,,and my bitch on weekends

This is why i dont have time for e/mails

Big will

My advert clearly states these are escort cosworth 18 x 8" , if they fitted a saff then i would have listsed them as fits escoss / sierra cosworth to double my chance of a sale

To be honest tho i need to reword my adverts so that they are thick c..t proof

Will they fit an S2 and WHAT IS BEST PRICE?

You grumpy old git

I don't know if it was mentioned above but when you reply to questions through ebay, click the box to make the replies visible in your listing, it MAY save answering the same question over and over...

If you state in the ad no emails/txt you don't have to answer.
If a person is too stupid to understand text I don't think he will buy anything. But I'd still read all messages and answer if there was a "I will buy this" message.

Did you state the offset? I really hate the ads which say ' xx" Xxxxxx fitment '.
Wheels fit many cars after all. You don't need to say which cars they fit but you should state the offset and width. If you provide enough information it will reduce the amount of "will it fit" questions. The stupid ones will still remain but it's unlikely they will buy anyway.

Remember also, if an auction has alot of stupid questions asked with clever/funny answers posted, it soon gets spread around the forums etc so can be good advertising
