Default It appears we do live in a democracy afterall then.

Just heard on the news that the online petition over the apparent use of GPS tracking hardware and the newfangled Tax laws may not go through because of the apparent number of names signed down.

Happy dingo's

If this one works, atleast we have faith that others will work too.

makes you laugh though doesnt it, they say if they get enough opposition they MIGHT consider stopping it for NOW. Well how about they turn it around and see how many people WANT to have it, bet theyd get all of about 5 people signing a petition in favour of ripping the motorist off even more. Country run by jokers

Its not scrapped yet. They have said that once the petition has ended they will explain how it will work as apparently we have all been influenced by scare mongering and so the figures are very misleading. Apparently the vast majority welcome road pricing. Yeah right.

It wouldn't be so bad if the public transport system was any good. Its shit and costs a fortune. Red Ken put up bus and train fares in London by 25% in December. WTF is that about? It now costs £2 for one stop on a bus or £4 for one stop on the train.

They force people off the roads but put up public transport costs as well so you're stuffed either way.

They will have the last laugh they want & will get us off the road or make us pay heavily by some means. If you have been drivin as long as I have you would see its got to be stopped. 25 years ago my comute took sub 20 minutes down the M3 with no hold ups. This morning it was over an hour & that was faster than last weeks, im so glad im retireing. Road pricing would have made us think when we used certain roads at rush hour it costs money & then you have a choice. Can I suggest that they will now put a very large increase on Petrol & huge road tax for cars over 2 litres. You may iust have shot yourself in the foot.
