Default Muchos help needed please

I'm trying to remove the sump off a mk6 1800 zetec escort and i'm having problems getting it to drop off. It seems to be catching on something that i can't get round. Any help would be greatly appreciated as i'm as stuck as they come. Nice one

it will be catching othe black plate betweent he gearbox and block, slacken the gearbox bolts but dont take em out, then lever the box apart a bit, should drop off then

Nice one matey. Is that the only way to really get round it? Take it thats what you had to do?

yes, there is a lip on the sump that catches

not too much effort to do
