just found my old copy of half life and counter strike.

thought i'd have a quick game as i havnt played for about 8 years.

firstly half life wouldnt install for ages. but finally did.

counter strike went straight on but now it wont find my internet connection to update it.

i use the internet through a LAN. 3 computer in my house are all connected through a hub and the internet actually goes into the down stairs pc. (not my one)


any ideas what i can do to get the up dates.


could it be that it dosent want to work on XP or somethig like that?
i cant remember what operating system i was using when i used to play.

or is there a totally new version on the game now?

tbh all i done was installed the game and tried to update it through the program.
when it didnt even find an internet connection i thought i may have a problem.

is it off their website you get steam?
is it a free download?
i just fancied a quick game for a laugh coz im broke and at home at the moment.

u have to download stream.

its a program that sierra use for their games, u can update everything (games)

i just downloaded it and made an account.

but the only options i can find on there are to buy the games.

its ok i just found it.

i had to activate the game using the product key and now its downloading

let see if i can actually remember the buttons or anything.

im a newbie again

just remember that you will be on the old counterstrike and everyone has been playing counterstrike source for 2 years which is 10 times better

1.6 is still the best version lets not go through this again

when you play cs source for 2 years and then play 1.6,you realise that 1.6 isnt and is very basic still well playable though but buy hl2 which has cs source as its a must have game

when you play cs at a very high level you realise where the gameplay and money are

wonder why the big events swithced to source then went straight back to 1.6

hi mate. yep have to activate it.

i havent played cs for about 4-5 years but did install all the games her last week (half life, blue shift, opposing force, cs 1.6, cs source, team fortres bla bla bla, bla bla bla and bla bla bla, and half life 2 and episode 1) Was fun to play cs again, i am a newbie

but play a litle bf2 now, any one her in to that?
