Wednesday nights result has been eating away inside me for the rest of the week , and i really cant believe what McClaren is soing to our national team. It seems that its not your form that gets you in the England team now its your name which is a f***in joke IMO. Just cant get my head round the fact that he says he wants to see who could come into the squad as back up for his first eleven and then when the perfect opportunity arrises (Spain game) the idiot plays virtually his normal starting XI?? and when he does bring people in he plays them out of position ? Seems like another Sven to me infact i think he is actually worse.
So i took it upon myself to start a petition tonite to get him out , when its completed it will be forwarded to the F.A so the more names the better
I know there may be a few people who dont agree so i'm preparing to get ripped apart for this also

Another anonymous Wednesday night, another England team taking the word 'friendly' too literally, another performance that makes you shiver - with fear, not cold.

It looked like it could have been an intriguing contest between two recent victims of the mighty Northern Ireland. But it wasn't. McClaren said 'No excuses, but we had lots of players out...' Steve, that's an excuse. There are other explanations.

And here they are:

1. Gerrard OR Lampard. That's OR! Not AND! Not one of you in the middle and the other out of position; not paper, scissors, stone before you decide which one of you is allowed to bomb forward. They do the same job. One has to go on the bench.

2. Carrick. Not up to it. Yes, messrs Hansen, Wright and Shearer, he is a lovely passer - as long as it's sideways or back to the keeper. He's weak in possession - he must have lost a lot of candy as a baby. And someone cuts his fringe with a ruler. Enough already.

3. Phil Neville. Ermmm... why? Barry would've been better at left-back - actually Carrick would've been. I know he's versatile but so are potato waffles.

4. Wright-Phillips. Wrong Phillips. Couldn't trap a dead cat right now. He's been used as a duvet for the Chelsea subs bench for long enough. Sell him so he can shed a few togs and believe in himself again.

5. Crouch. Not a starter, even when Rooney's out. The ref was ridiculous with him all night mind. He seemed to think that you could give away a foul simply by being too tall. But he's best as a nuisance to come off the bench. Rooney needs a direct replacement for Owen and, right now, that means Defoe or Johnson (or - and it can't be any worse - Nugent).

6. Tempo. Why do we try and knock it about like we're on the bleeding Copacabana beach? Until people in this country start training our young lads to look after a football (and I don't just mean keep it away from windows and thorn-bushes) then all we can rely on is that the opposition don't like it up em. The Spanish were right flaky for 10 minutes and then we slowed down. NO! GET STUCK IN!

Woodgate was sound until his mistake in the build-up to the goal but centre-backs are something we’re not short of.

Richards is terrifying and should always be in the squad. And good on the manager for picking Foster. Everyone else.... oh dear.

Team for Israel? The team picks itself of course. Actually if Lamps and Gerrard are both included you'd have to start wondering whether the team really does pick itself. This is who I'd have in:

Gotta agree with the Lampard Gerrard thing, one of them has to go and I think it should be Lampard TBH, a classic example of someone playing one way for there club and another for England, he should have been shot for his performance at the world cup and he seems to carried on where he left off I think.Gerrard is better for the team

He's playing some players that cant even get in their own first team & some of them have only just come back from injury the guy is a total twat & whats the point in a petition the FA aint gonna take any notice of? Snore, Redkop with his tiresome United bashing crusade again. Carrick has hardly started many England games

Carrick has 12 caps FFS, 7 won, 2 draws and 3 loses with him in the team. Even Jermain Defoe has had 22 caps and hes useless, wouldn't get near the team if we had more than Rooney and Owen in the last 5 years or so. Like Hargreaves, he took the best part of his 37 caps to show us hes decent for England so Carrick will come good.

Don't forget Carrick is part of the reason United are looking down on Liverpool. Saying his pasing is only good side or back and thats all of his game then i would say you know nothing about football and need to see more United games.

As for Mclaren i would say hes not good enough and wasn't to begin, he lacks balls unlike Alardyce etc but he deserves a chance. Typical English press get people rolling as per usual.

 

mclaren was a shit manager for middlesborough and he's proving his worth for england now, only reason he got teh job was he was the only one willing to taek only half of svens salary

as was said above, lampard and gerrard dont mix and gerrard gives a better work rate, i know some will say about lampards goals but for him to score 15 a season he has to hit 100 shots a game, plus he just dont do it for england. joey barton did well for the 10 mins he got against spain, he has to be seriously considered i think as has kevin nolan who is also a great midfielder. then you got hargreaves and carrick who can do a job. whoever said carrick is rubbish above needs there head lookin at tbh.

wright phillips is another i dont know why he's in the squad nevermind the first team, he dont get a game for chelsea and whenevr he does come on is just utter wank, needs to move on to become the player he was 3 yrs ago. i would pick pennant and lennon for the right wing spot, or even beckham. no matter what anyone says england ARE missing him, he's still the best crosser and dead ball specialist in the world.

downing is mclarens love child i think, hes not a world class player and along with kieron richardson is only gettin in the team as they got a left foot. i would rather see ashley cole play left wing with wayne bridge at left back but i think thats too logical, if not give dyer a chance who's a similar type of player to joe cole.

up front i think england will have to think of someone to replace michael owen as no one knows if he will recover properly from his knee injury, his game is based on his pace and if he loses that he's fucked. fair enough there isnt many who can replace him, rooney isnt gonna score as much, crouch is a great weapon for the last half hour of a game but aint good enough for a starting place. i think nugent will be good once he gets in the premiership, andy johnson is another who never gets given a go but for the life of me i dunno why. defoe has had his chances and never really took advantage of them.

as for the defence we have found the replacement for gary neville in micah richards, top quality footballer and built like a brick shit house for a 18 yr old. woodgate and carragher need to be given a game together so we have a recognisable cover for terry and rio. elft abck is sorted really with cole and bridge plus ther is barry who is very versatile along with phil neville (although im not a big fan of his)

only good thing to come out of weds night was ben foster, i think robinson needs the competition as he seems to have gone off the boil as of late. and hopefully kirkland can get rid of his injuries too and really give some competition as he can be one of teh best in the world too..

the future is bright for england as a whole i feel, they just need someone at the helm who knows what he is doing, mclaren was part of svens team and should never have been given the job as we've not made any progression and we wont until it is a whole new era.
