ive had an xbox 360 since they came out, to cut a long story short, my original one broke after about 10 month, so i sent it to microsoft, they couldnt fix it and sent me a new one. had that one for a couple of weeks, that decided it didnt want to work anymore either, so i phoned game where i bought it,. they said come through and we'll replace it with a brand new one, so i did, had that one 3 weeks, that broke aswell, phoned game, they said come through and we'll change it again, so i did, this was last week, played it 2 twice since i got it, put it on last night, and its at it again, wont play games, so even though i love it, ive had 4 brand new ones and they have all gone down the swannie. a couple of mates have 360's, there still on there original one's, and play them all the time, they have never had 1 problem, i think im jinxed as far as 360's go, so today, i took it back, got a refund, and ive ordered a ps3, which to be honest i begrudge due to the price, bit its either that, or keep getting a new 360 every 2 weeks, so i get a ps3 on launch day. but have any other pf 360 owners had problems, or is it just me ?

We are on our third x-box 360 in 12 months and after getting it back last week it has crashed once, but not again since so hopefully its ok but I doubt it, you are not alone

mate got his at christmas an it decides when it wants to work, but hes doesnt play it much,

Another mate of mine had the same problem so he took it back an got a new one dont think hes had anyproblems since tho.

it seems to be a cooling issue with them we have to ruin ours out of the unit and with an extra fan i asked the women at microsoft when the first one blew up

Can't comment on the 360, never been an Xbox fan, no games interest me....always been a PS man, have pre ordered a PS3 with Motorstorm Hopefully get it in store after my hols, never bought a console at launch! PS2 was only a couple weeks old when I got it tho!

My bro is on his 3rd xbox I think! Still think overall the 360 will come out on top of this console war! and , a rumour going around on the net is theres a new 360 on the way with a 120gb hard drive and hdmi..... only rumours though!

Hows the 360 going to come out on top? From how I see it, PS3 has been this long coming for a reason, 360 came out to steal the limelight yet has been full of problems. Think I'll hang on for PS3, from what I've heard about 360 its biggest pile of shite available.

my xbox is out in the open, no cased in anywhere
and it's on it's side too
it does run hot AND very noisey, my washingmachine is not as loud but i don't spank it for long periods of time, just an hour or 2 every other day, and then my mrs gets pissed off and hides the games

So you honestly believe the PS3 will have no problems at all when its released??? Im no way a microsoft fanboy, i would have a PS3 if i could afford one but £425 is too much! If you say the 360 is a pile of shite then i think you have never even played one! Ever played on live or GOW for example? Both amazing and it will be very hard to live up to!

If my previous Playstations are anything to go by, your PS3 will be perfect for 12 months and self destruct once it's out of warranty. They build their playstations with timebombs in, i'm sure.

never had one problem with the 360 bought mine over a year ago as a core system and then got a hdd and wireless stuff for it! is quite a noisey console though!

Had my 360 for ages, kids play it all day i play most nights and has been fine, have always had intercooler on mine and does make a big difference cooling wise, if you do a search on net you will see that ps3 has had a hell of a lot of problems too, would never go back to sony

I had a ps1 that never went wrong, ive had a ps2 for years and theres still bugger all wrong with it, use it to play DVDs on the tv aswell

tbh i wouldnt have been if i could have got a 360 that didnt throw its rattle out of the pram, but i wasnt willing to keep getting replacements untill i got one that worked, this has been going on since before christmas, and i got sick of not knowing if i was going to be able play it when i turned it on, i loved my 360 when it was working, and my advice to anyone thinking of getting one, do it, they really are good, but ive had a nightmare with them, and im now going to have to go 6 weeks without a console till the PS3 comes out
