So you want a reliabe, nice car..
You're no longer interested in boy racering etc, spending money on doing up cars and generally want to be a bit more sensible.
It has to be quickish, modernish, stylish but still "young" enough to not suggest you're old man!
What would you go for?
PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, NO ONE SAY COSSIES, SCOOBIES OR EVOS!!!!

on a lower budget no matter what Dave says E36 M3 do still have some class and are fast, reliable, cheap to run now and good looking and practical

B5 model Audi S4
B6 Model Audi S4/RS4

You could pick up a nice 3.0 E36 M3 for that money.
Or maybe a nice E30 325i sport.
