Jamie, I have read and acknowledged your offer, I just need to find the time to give you a call if thats OK? I'm just really busy this afternoon.

It's slightly tricky because my current turbo has a T28 flange. If I was to change to a T3 flange to suit the manifold, I would want to go to External Wastegate at the same time.

Does that make sense?

Jamie. Could you please hang-fire with this for a couple of days. I am away now until Friday and want to talk to you prior to moving forward with it.

It is a very kind offer, but it's not as easy as it sounds everyone. I will talk it over with Jamie towards the end of the week.

My engine is still in bits, by the way. I don't expect to have it back running for a few weeks yet, so from my point-of-view there is no rush at the moment.

Christian please dont take this as a knock but how comes its taken you
5hrs to some up with this excuse, When you have been posting elswhere tonight

If someone had offered that to me i would of snapped there arm off, and
got straight on the phone!

If the engine is in bits surely this would be an ideal time to fit one?

As you will be able to fabricate the parts to fit to your spec of your
engine.

what the fuck has it got to do with you lot what Christian does and doesn't do with his car

just think for a minute how much money it takes to get a RST engine to pull nearly 170mph....he may not want to try this manifold for one reason or other, but let him decide...

and why not just ring him Jamie?

Matt, not being funny, but can you please just stay out of it.

There is a much bigger picture to consider. It is an EXTREMELY kind offer, of that there is no doubt, but I don't want to just get Jamie to send this manifold unless I am sure I can work it to both our advantages.

I also maintain that, although I cannot prove it, I am fairly sure my RST has already done 170mph and that is as the result of work we have already carried out and not the result of anyone's exhaust manifold.

Jamie, that is absolutely fine. I just didn't want to mess you about. I didn't expect to see you on here tonight!

I have discussed this evening me somehow adapting it so that my T28 flange will bolt to it, then I can test it with the internally 'gated housing. That would be a good idea, but not sure if it will fit easily.

Then I can look at changing over to T3 flange later.

Good seeing two experienced heads workin together to help the Fords go further and further

Wish I lived nearer to folk like these tuners, not a lot of places for RS tuning around here

It is a kind offer, but those criticising Christian's stance should appreciate that if he does fit the manifold and the car does 170mph, people are going to say that it only managed it due to the manifold.

I think Christian quite rightly wants to achieve the holy grail of 170mph (which the car was on target for before the head gasket failed) without anyone else being able to claim a contribution. Once he has done 170+, then I'm sure Christian would quite happily have a play with the manifold to see what extra it gave .
