mines done a 100k, but my mate drives for a local taxi firm, they have a couple of mk2 mondeo's, one has done 320k and the other has just gone over 400k, they have both had plenty of maintenance over the years, but are still on the original engines.

obviously a neglected engine wont last that long but as long as you dont thrash it from cold and change oil and filter and plugs regulary then i cant see it being a problem doin over 150k

i drive my mum's 1.8 focus lx. its a 2000 an done almost 100k. i've thrashed it a fair bit but we've been changin oil every 5k an she runs just as good if not better than the day she left the factory!!!

faily high milage as a family car. for my first ear of drivin i was the main driver an did the majority of 12,500 in 7 months. did over 300 the day i passed

the newer black tops are built stronger than the older zetecs. last ages. if well maintained will easily do 220k+

how the hell can you do 300k on a std clutch? NO WAY!!!

and 718k on a puma, and as a courier car? what did he transport? crisps!theres no room in them! hmmmmmm!

No word of a lie though. When i went to Cyprus, almost ALL of the taxis had done nearly 1.5 million miles!!! they literally do not turn the cars off he was telling me. They've obviously had a few box's and engines, but the shells were mint as its so dry over there. They were mostly the old shape mercedes, like the 190e's.
