Default Head thickness...

I am looking for a 2wd head for my saff...

I know the standard thickness is 139.1...

But when a head gets skimmed how much do they take off and what is the mininum thickness i should be buying......

The amount skimmed varies.

When you look at it, providing the valves are stitting higher than the deck, it should be fine generally as a quick rule of thumb.

Ive seen sizes quoted for minimum for various heads but TBH IME they arent gospel.

The head is fooked on his old engine it is corroded to bits...

got to ring carwise back in 10 mins about one...
