Thought someone might know more about it, hence why I was asking if its been on here before etc.


I would assume it must be government money or the petition wouldnt be putting to government though.

I personally feel that NO religion should get given government funds TBH

All the sikh temples are built with funding from the sikh community & not the government!

There's a fairly new sikh temple in B'ham where the top of the temple is covered in indian gold - it's cost millions & millions to build & it's all been done by the sikh community alone!

IF the goverment are paying for this muslim mosque to be built then that's proper fucked up!!

It took all of 2secs internet searching to find out, predictably, its NOTHING to do with the goverment.

Slightly off topic but although i've been to Birmingham a few times can anyone who lives in the so called asian areas: Birmingham, Bradford, Blackburn and Leicester etc tell me,

Is it majority of of non whites or non British in just the inner city areas or all over?

(Quite scary if its the whole city, sounds mad saying that but i guess i'm just not used to it yet. When you see it on the news and all the shops and buisness and people are foreign named is what i mean.)

Seemed weird to me when I first moved up to coventry from somerset, there was 1 non white kid in my 1000 child secondary school and maybe 2 or 3 in my college.

Used to it now though obviously and think nothing of it, makes no difference IME as ive got friends of all colours now, but certainly seems weird at first if you are from a more or less entirely white background.

Yeah thats roughly what i mean't chip. Shouldn't matter a person is a person but you can't help feeling a bit of an outsider when you see it. I thought it was the meant to be the other way around. Being England/Britain and we are originally white.

If its being paid for by sources from abroad then let it happen i say. If its government funding then i can see the big fuss with teh arguments of "why not spend it on NHS?" or "why not put it into schooling or transport?"

At the end of the day if it is sources from abroad then the petition will be useless to persuade the government to stop it. Not as if Gordon Brown and Mr Blair will listen to it (bad enough getting time to see Brown whos my own bloody MP cos hes too busy playing Mr Britain in London instead of taking care of his own community first!)

theres always gonna be hardliners out there who will want to ruin this plan but if its a sensible option then why go against it. I work with people of all races so im not against it, but the fact really is that there will always be racism in Britain as long as there are things like the BNP and so on in this country.

If the funding is from abroad, then its good for the UK economy as it will bring jobs building it and a positive impact on our balance of trade etc

And much of the money will end up taxable, and hence available to the NHS

It will be built with cheap labour from abroad, working for cash and most of them will be sending the money back to their homelands so the money will be gone from our economy forever.

Which is what a large percentage of the Poles do as do other 'migrant workers'.

And Aussies have been doing it for years, come here, work, send money home, become rich at home because of the strong pound then fook off.


The UK is just bolstering other countries economies there are even signs in my local bank saying how easy it is to transfer money to other countries.

Makes my fookin blood boil, this country is being raped and the ones who suffer are the likes of old folks having to pay high council tax, increased fuel bills, poor community care, dwindling NHS Services etc etc... when they were the poor old fookers who fought the war so everyone could come here in the first place
