Default Pis**d off........

Took my head to the local engine builders today to get a cleanup skim as im rebuilding my engine and the head is all that needs doing....

And what happend we think there is a crack between the inlet and exhaust valves in cylinder 3 ......so ive had to pay £27 upfront for a pressure test to see if it is fucked and don't get the result untill tomorrow..

I am so pis**ed off ....and the worse bit is the head has never had a skim here me thinking theres loads of life left in it..

So how much im i looking at for a new head ......

It's because they have had to many people getting pressure test's done and when they have rang up to tell them the head is no good people have just not turned up to pay and left them with a knackerd head....

hey - bettert to have to pay that upfront and know if fooked BEFORE fittin git unlike my old engine man,

mine had a suspected HG failure, so i had him check itall out and skim it, i refitted it with a new 3 layer cometic which started leaking aswell - refitted a grp A one as it was so much worse than before (through i'd maybe not fitted it right)

and took it elsewhere for a checkover and it had a crack in it all along so for the sake of 27 quid as oppsied to the cost of 2 head rebuilds skims and gasket sets - think yourslf lucky
