Any camera experts in yet?
I was given this camera years ago by a client, just wondering if it was any good?
Is it anything special?
Only thing wrong with it is the door on the back, the little clip that locks it shut has snapped off........
Can this be repaired?

In its day it would have been, its been out performed by modern digital camera's.
Bung it on Ebay, as it is, someone will have it.

You might do better listing the lense separately from the camera body.

Why is the lens a good bit of kit then??
Well being honest unless i can get good money for it, i'd prefer to repair it..

Wouldve been the bollocks when people were using film, but nobody does now.
Deffo sell the lense seperate, thats still good, and lenses are interchangable between cameras so wont make anything worth less, as pro snappers take various size lenses with them to every shoot.

Should be able to get it repaired fairly easily. Have a look on the net for a nikon service centre.
As said was a good camera in it's day but tbh probably still takes just as good pictures as the top of the range ones today.

Ps Have you got a private plate on you're FRS? When i was on the A414 coming into Chelmsford the other friday, i saw a FRS which looked like it had a PP saying Kev
