Rod does top speed runs - air flow at 200mph is what ?

And uses NOS...which instantly cools charge close to zero...

Real test for coolers in on track IMHO

500 one is a used radiator piece of shit

rich, comparision...

same day...

80 degree's from 500 one and 27 from radtec one....

Reason the 500 one looks bad cause on my top speed run it blew all the fins out LOL.....

but it was shite before that happened.

It all fairness if the t3 was on race fuel it might make 400....

Pump 97 ron fuel you would be very lucky if a t34 powered car made 400bhp LOL

maybe being held on the rollers is different from track

Yes Rod runs a stock 500 one and the nos jets are after the air temp sensor as they are mounted in the intake runners and the airtemp sensor is in the elbow so we can still monitor the air before the Nos and it does not have airtemp issues.

Fairplay if thats the case.

why is that then Mark as I know you are a normally a fan of BIG boost or is Rods Turbos now so big that you run lowish boost and a load of NOS??
If its a trade secret then no worries if you do not want to divulge.

Did the old touring cars and thunder saloons running 2.5 bar on T4's used to struggle with charge temps Tony??

So do most people... prevention is better than the cure Euan

Water injection just helps you not LOOSE as much power as you would if the ECU has to start retarding the ignition... as you probably know mate, water taking up space in the combustion chamber is not good. You want air and fuel... I think

I would always run at 2.5bar never run lower that would make it slower we run a nice water injection set up and attention to detail helps

We have seen very promising results with my new cooler so far and with no water cooling problems. (on roolers only so far)

should be able to hold a charge temp below 30 at the end of the runway

Marks WI set ups seem to work as his engines are the proof but AVA have tested WI many times and you ALWAYS lost power when the WI is on.

Thanks for answering.

We never see more than 40c thoughout the whole topspeed run, Without it most we have seen 50c.
Making the most of heat rejection materials and ducting helps.
