I used to travel from lincoln to east mids airport every day (120 mile round trip) and that used to kill me after a while,especially after a 12 hour shift.It really does age you.now i work in oxford and commute home for weekends.Thats a 320 mile round trip.Ive been doing that for 2 years and although its only twice a week i am totally fed up with the same journey.it will eventually get to you so i would say the shorter the better.

Travel 50 miles each way daily. Takes between 50 and 1hr 15mins dependant on what times I travel (work alternate days/nights weekly), but back living in my house so worth it.

However, since doing the same job I have also done:
*London to Lincs & back at the weekend (stayed over during the week)
*Then wolverhampton to Lincs, same
*Then commuted daily 50 miles each way for 5 years and lived in my house
*Then Dundee to Lincs weekends & back (with Starturbo above) 350miles and about 5hrs each way! Wankest journey ever...roads & time, not Starturbo
*Peterborough to Lincs on weekends, but sometimes during week for the night then back in the morning
*Norwich to Lincs on weekends..what a ball-ache that drive was on the A17!!
