Why would it be unstable under power?

A car is more stable with one wheel barbecuing itself than two!

Can't see as you'd notice any difference in normal driving but traction off the line would be reduced as would power oversteer.

Standard cossie diffs are pretty shite anyway

PMSL! How many of you have tried it!?

I doubt youd feel much difference as the stock "LSD" is total dogshit anyhow, not much better than an open diff.

Its not ideal, but doubt youd even notice that much, its not like going from a proper diff to a open one.

Was thinking of putting an uprated viscous LSD from gearboxman in. Has anyone tried one? They any good?

I would think this coupled with my brand new scorpio cosworth diff with 2wd flanges would be pretty good. Car is used otr mainly with occassional trips to Pod launching.

Cheers

yes i've tried it

i bought an open 7.5" diff of a scorpio ultima (auto with TC)

was shit when powering out of corners as the unloaded wheel would spin up very easily.

soon cured it
