Default HELP NEEDED 4 A CALIBRA (IGNITION BARREL??????)

hello
about 2 weeks ago i put a post up 4 this problem
One day my mate went out to start car and the key wud not turn so he brought a new barrel and had to drill the old one out which i did but was not sure if i cud brake any thing so said to get my other mate to hav a look he rang me up to day sayin that the new one is all in fine but because my mate had tried raming it in and didnt hav all the old barrel out he broke a bit off the end(like a pin wif a spring on it i think that is wat takes the steering lock off???) and now is starting etc... but steering lock is on is there any way of making the steering lock stay off alll the time
big help if u cud help him out thanks

To remove vauxhall steering lock key barrels you need the key to turn.

You turn the key- push out a pin and it pulls out.

If you have to drill it out I think you need to change the steering lock as well which is apain.

My advice- which is prob crap-

Get a scaff bar through the steering wheel and bounce on it till the steering lock breaks-Wont take too much (I've seen it on Police camera action)

Job done.. stays off all the time.

lol done that on my uncles banger racer lostted the keys snaped the steering lock it cum bac on the track and in the it tryed snaping it again and sheared the steering wheel off so dont think i will try that

you dont need a scaff bar get 2 ppl 1 pulling on the wheel the other push then just make sure it turn freely make sure it dont snag or lock as mite do it when ya driving
