You'll have to buy an "old" WRC car and strip it:

Try Cosworth racing for plate and gaskets, It was a cosworth part not m-sport. Why do u want the plate, low comp?

It wont be a decompression plate, surely?
Thats a bodgejob idea that fucks the squish area, and seeing as the cars mega high comp, i cant see it having one.

Maybe to raise deck hight for a better rod ratio, as per OSG RB30s and Martins engine.

But didnt realise that was allowed.

yeah it is a part from cosworth you are right. its not a decomp plate as that is a bodge. its a plate that seals around the liners and seals the water and oil ways to the head

its not a decomp plate mate, the cgi zetec rally blocks have liners that stand 14mm high of the deck height. there were a few on ebay the other week

i dont actually know how the head is sealed, but i doubt the liners go into the head as 14mm will surly break the oil/water ways?

so im gussing that it will have a spacer plate, then the head gasket and head?

unless of course the head im much thicker than a normal zetec, which it could well be, but i still cant picture in my mind how the liners will seal to the head?

Its exactly what i said it is, a spacer plate with liners to raise the block height, as per OSG RB30 engines and Martins engine.

Didnt realise raising the block height would be allowed in WRC rules.

Seems like cheating to me

Steve, if you're not cheating in rallying, you're not trying hard enough

yes stavros you are correct the plate has orings on every oil and water way and the bores are sealed with wire rings. i do have some pics but give me a few days to sort out how we are going to build this hybrid engine of ours and we will post up.
and yes the engines were stroked in 2001.

she will be an indestructable animal. (hopefully)

IIRC the plate was greater than 20mm thick!

Maybe as wuch as 25mm (1")!!!

I noticed before on a tour of M-Sport and asked them about it!!
