You shouldnt post about stuff u dont understand

ALS will rev the engine when ur idleing at standstill, the bypass valve lets air through

Also you have nil engine braking!!!!!!!

lol @ you!

you're the one that looks like the idiot babbling on about stuff you have no experience of!! and linking the vid with "my cossie" in the title was excellent

maybe offer advice when you have experience on it??

I wasn't claiming to know everything, just posting my understanding of it.

Can't blame me for wanting to know about stuff either.

Really annoys me the age thing, just because of that doesn't mean I don't know shit.

The My Cossie thing was off Google Video so couldn't do anything about the title.

Your always going to be on a loser mate. As soon as people know your age it dont matter what you know in "theory" people will always say you dont know shit because you havent "experienced" anything.

Just my 2ps worth!!

Nor should YOU.

ALS will NOT make the revs rise at idle. Hell, it may even fall a little. Just cause a bypass lets air through, it dont mean the revs will rise, hell, it doesnt.
If all ALS was was an imaginary foot staying on the throttle a bit itd be pointles and shit.

And you lose some/most/all engine braking, but it dont fuck things much.

What he has wrote is pretty correct from what ive seen, and i HAVE experience of it.
He may have no practical experience of it, but he has more of a grasp of the understanding of it than 99% of people it seems.

LOTS of stuff they say is utter bollocks about it. Esp about its usefulness or lack of.

Thanks for saying what I was trying to get across mate.

You were of the people I was thinking of in that thread,as I remember what you've said plus others about ALS in the past.

Oh comeon mate, its been years, i cant remember that shit
Ok, im sad, i can

It depended, at idle i could have it showing positive boost if i revved it up or whatnot to get it going, but IIRC with it just on it was similar, approx 0.

Just on the overrun i could see 23psi+ off throttle.

I know the "idle boost" test is pretty pointless, but the best ive EVER seen for that is Ian@Raceteks one in the old T35 spec.

Never forget, even like, late 90s he had it, and could flick it on (and give throttle a lil touch to activate, obv, but not even 1500rpm really) and lt it settle back to idle, and then, with no feet on the throttle at all, and sitting at approx 1000rpm, the boost would slowly rise to 7psi or so!

Pointless, but really really REALLY cool

Full boost off throttle or not, was gutted mine didnt do that

Don't know why you always do the same thing?

You hang around a scoobynet, with the littlest of knowledge, trying to educate people, then post it on here when someone replies with something anti-cossie.

You end up making yourself look like an idiot, whether you're right or wrong, and an embarassment. What are you trying to achieve?

What do you mean do the same thing all the time.

I hang around SNET as it's alrite to a degree, plus I really like the cars.

I wasn't trying to be all knowing, just what they said was wrong.Plus I remember what people like Stav has said and corrected them.

All I'm doing is just putting what I thought across.

I haven't driven anything as I'm 16.

I was merely saying my understanding of it.

Bloody hell,Stav has said what I was trying to get across.

I was pointing out something which I thought was true.

Stav who ran ALS on his car posted that and confirmed what I thought.

Only cuntish behaviour I see here is yours and Rich's.

BTW Mike has posted on that thread now.

Have some of that:

Escort cosworth on the rollers with ALS - Google Video

There's a good vid, i'm sure someone will post with a classic scooby rally car doing a exhibition circuit with ALS, the one where he spins.

That sounds the dogs danglies.

the ALS i run is not to aggressive, ( 6psi at idle 900 rpm )

been as good as gold, you do lose all engine breaking but the cars brakes work fine as there not vac servos but electric servo motors on these cars !!!!

turbo life is reduced as is exhaust life.

but when you run large tubos, lag is inevitable....
and it really helps at the strip or for fun lol

nearly been caught by the old bill using it though !!!
