from what was on telly on bbc 24 a wee while ago the chinese are going to b building the MG TF and possibly the ZR again as normal but then will build new cars once they are designed.
Ford do own the rover name and most of the plans from longbridge.

Ford own the name, Nanjing own the assets and Shanghai own the rights to make the original cars. So none of them can actually build the cars without upsetting the other.
SAIC can make the cars (but don't have the equipment to) but can't call them a Rover.
Nanjing can make the cars using the assets they bought from Rover but that would upset SAIC.
