Default weight of a litre of petrol

need some help here,please

i google`d this and kept coming up with emission type crap

i need to know the weight a litre of petrol,can anyone help me out?

get a 1 litre bottle fill it up weigh it and deduct the weight of the bottle theres ur answer

Thats right the density of water will be roughly the same and 1 litre of water weighs 1kg.

Just looked it up. It is 0.73722kg per litre so quite a bit less than water.

depends on what grade petrol you are using i think 0.79 is for super,,, but i did read it about 4 years ago so i could be wrong

i am wrong,,, its goes between 0.73 and 0.75 for different grades of unleaded

I was surprised it is so different to water. As a rough guide I always I thought it would be roughly the same. A 60 litre tank of fuel only weighs about 45 kilos then.

Petrol's SG is 0.737, Diesels is 0.83, and also Jet A1's is 0.8 - Water of course (pure) is 1.
