I was looking at an omex rev lmiter which is basicly launch controll, then for a few extra quid i found this?! It apparently allows the throttle to stay open when changing gears, how does this work then and is it worth it?
Please discuss

Armtech Speed Shift
Provides four functions:
* Full Throttle Gear Shifts allowing drivers to safely change up without lifting off the throttle for significantly improved 0-60 acceleration times.
* Shift Up Ultra-bright red light
* Shift Down Ultra-bright green light
* Engine Rev Limiter to prevent blow-ups.
All of these four functions are precisely controlled using the latest microprocessor technology which also provides high reliability and ease of use. Installation requires the connection of just four wires and the mounting of a clutch pedal switch (all included). Each of the four functions are then simply set up at the touch of a button from the driver's seat.
The Full Throttle Gear Shift function minimises acceleration times in two ways. Firstly, by simplifying the gear change sequence it allows the driver to shift up more quickly. Secondly, by allowing the throttle to stay open whilst shifting gear the engine continues to breathe and the engine speed is precisely maintained for the short period whilst the driver is selecting the gear. This system can be further enhanced using the Armtech Launch Control Switch.
The Speed Shift system works on all negative earth contact breaker systems, optical breaker systems, transistorised and ECU ignition systems. The four functions can be adjusted to any engine speed up to 54,000 sparks/minute e.g. 27K rpm 4cyls 13K rpm 8cyls. A version is also available for Twin Coil ignition systems.
Launch Control Button
A steering wheel mounted push button switch is also available which when connected to a Speed Shift can provide launch control to reduce wheel spin off the start line.
Single coil £102.99. Twin coil £105.99. Launch Control Button £16.49
