Default PC help needed desparately

pc went t**** up last night so have had to start over , i have it running fine except that i cannot get any sound as it says i have no audio device,and i cant seem to sort it any ideas anyone PLEASE

You need to find your drivers mate. If its an onboard sound device then the audio jacks will be near to the keyboard/usbs etc and you will need to load the main board cd. If its a seperate card (usually lower down the case)then it will also have a sepertae cd for it (usually saying sound or audio on it)

Load it and that should be jobes a good un.

Do you have on-board sound (e.g. integrated into motherboard), or, do you have a PCI/ISA card plugged into your motherboard (e.g. soundblaster).

If onboard, check your bios to make sure it's enabled, if not, shutdown, take card out, reboot, shutdown again, plug card back in (make sure it's well seated in the connector) and reboot.

What operating system are you running ???

thanks m8 looks like its onboard m8, prob why i couldnt find any driver cd for it

If you can't find the drivers, try the motherboard manufacturer's web site.
