Well IMO, the move is a good one

The new venue is half the price of donno and is 5 times bigger

More cars in the club stands ,, no cars in the car parks to get nicked

Come on mate ,,a track is a track , i also have tracks i like and those im not that happy with but would still rather drive on a track im not realy happy with than not drive at all

hold your horses guys, the fookin show hasn't happened yet and your knocking it, loads of hardstanding and the financial issue were the reasons to change, give the place a chance, just because you don't like it don't try and ruin it for everyone else by spreading gossip thats it's crap/the tracks crap etc...

your more than welcome to stump up the extra 20k donno would have cost the club na get it changed back there.

Well it's a hell of alot nearer for me to get too
The long track (international or national actually looks quite good

If being 5 times bigger means that more people get to park inside then surely that has to be better for less peoples cars to get pinched

cost is nothing to do with it or it shouldnt be as the members are the clubs source of income and its supposed to be none profit making, why is it that cost comes into it? thats what pissed me off at track prices last year whats wrong with them subsidising them ? they have how much in the bank ? shall we blow loads of money on a new club office? clubs a joke im not renewing when mine runs out .

At least (fingers crossed) no more cars will be stolen as the whole event will be behind closed doors so to speak... . I liked it when Ford Fair was there many years ago

IMO
cost is everything to do with it tim, the rs owners club 1990 ltd is a limited company not a charity, the club lost 40k last year iirc

these losses had to be reduced/ turned around, one way is to save around 20k on the venue for nat day, with the added benifit of hard standing more space better security (1 gate)

we discussed it at length at the agm and the move was a no brainer.

Me must also remember that everyone who wanted a track pass last year kicked off at the price of them ,,but with a 50k + price tag at donno there was no way they could do it cheaper as the day made no proffit as it is

SO,, To try to keep everyone happy they have decided to go to a bigger place with more hard standing and 20k cheaper ,,

HOW CAN THIS BE A BAD IDEA ?????

I love DONNO, but never having been to Rockingham, and never having been to a National Day at Rockingham I'm going to give it a chance and see how it pans out.

I'm looking forward to it

i think its great, well done those involved,
Donno is a rip off, cars nicked all the time, security dodgy, pikey theiving bastards.

Rock has secure parking so at least you can leave your motor and it will still be there afterwards (hopefully)

yep! I went and liked it.

It didnt have infield parking though. Things were pretty spread out but I had a great day. Also did some laps in a Racing Puma with a BTCC driver on the banked oval, scary!!!!

Its about time RSOC stuck up for themselves, if Donno were charging 5K then you can expect but Ł50K they can go fook themselves.

Everyone moans year after year, this year its changed, its all good

maybe if rockingham works out we will be able to get some of the foriegn
car back as at donny it was not good for them.
will all the track action be in the oval and the stands be outside.
viewing the track is excellent you can see everything.
rockingham is in corby.
