i think it will be a nice change-

cheaper venue should mean cheaper track passes

is it a 1 or 2 day event??

In principle, I don't mind the move, but IMO, the track is dull as fuck.

Donnington provided a good combination between awesome circuit, and good spectating.

Hopefully if it is to be at Rockingham, the price of the track passes will be reflected in the switch to what is a lesser venue in many respects. Sadly, I fear it wont, and the club will still be charging inflated prices for what is supposed to be a subsidised day.

I think it will be good as a change can be good, also if they had gone to donny and payed Ł50k for it and the club had a bad year again that could be the club about gone and that whould mean no more National day and club shows then what do we do ?????
I think the club has got something special planed for national day this year which should be good and iam shure we will all turn up as norm because it is still the best show

another problem with donnington was they would not give the club two noice days

so the ford saloon race could not take place there, also no where to park them!

donnington does not have enough hard standing,

all these problems and the fact the the brscc help pay for rockingham as they are racing there, means everyones a winner,

lets see if the club can fill the 80 acres up!

Well at a guess,if the Ford saloons are racing on the day as stated ,then surely it wont have any limit,as the race cars are loud as f*ck!Regards,Micky

as already said security cost alone was Ł15000 last year at donny

rockingham can offer the complete event EVERYTHING for Ł15000 from what i can remember at the agm.

simple maths on this matter means rockingham is far more appealing.

imo donny has had its fair go at raping the rsoc and i welcome the decission from the commitee to switch venue.

if its crap, then they have to look for somewhere else, but its bound to have teathing problems.....

be interesting to see what the admission and track time costs are.

rockingham is clean and tidy no mud touch wood no cars getting nicked

hope they use the track they used at the end of time attack would love to see Gareth Lloyd going full chat along it again

only thing isnt it near Corby (which im sure is a pretty damn dodgy area)

Yes.

Donnington is a former GP circuit with full National rating, with history and heritage.

Rockingham is an enlarged go-kart track.

rockingham is a far superior facility to donny people wen u sit up top in the grandstand the view is of the whole track awsome..rockingham is a monster venue and might make the show look real small but i guess we will all see.the only reason people might not go is if they only go donny for the track.the rest of the venue is top notch people and well away from any housing estates and not far from mcdonalds

Yes, and so have I. I still own three karts, and have raced at nearly every circuit in the UK.

Quite what that has to with National Day location, I've no idea.

Talking as a member of another Club, I personally stopped going to Donno as I think it's shite, I think The Rock is a far better venue

Pics of your karts then...... would love to see em. Where and when have you raced? What class?

Rockingham, banked circuit aside is flat and dull. Some very tight turns, and couldn't be futher from Donno if you tried. Donnington has some amazing height and camber changes, and has a good combination of everything. Even Bedford is more exciting than Rockingham, and that's largely in part to the speed of some corners and the technicality of the place...
