Default ST170 BRAKES

Just a few quick questions - what size are they? How much roughly should i pay for some calipers and what do i need to fit em to an S2RST?

300mm i think you can buy the whole set up for around £300 from ford new (or so the legend says)

what for new calipers, discs and pads,,,

that is cheap, might even try that route when i next need a set of front discs/pads...

Thanks fella. Does it fit the RS straight on or do i need brackets as i've seen some brackets on ebay - are these to fit standard calipers to ST discs?

Just spoken to my friendly local Ford parts dept and the calipers are £221.69 + VAT each new....

Ebay it is then....

i read about it in one of the mags

i never did find them at that price though but it's a bolt on swap apparently as they st uses "conventional" hbs as opposed to the focus style "golf" hubs with built in calper carriers

I had this conversion on my rs turbo
It was an excellent conversion.
The discs are about £80 from Ford when I bought them.
I'm sure you can pick up a set of calipers from a breakers for not that much

You need 12 - 13mm spacers and the bolts are bigger that mount the calipers.

Sure you need to drill your hubs out to 12mm

I got mine from Gadget off of here but that was a very long time ago
