They are WRC/Touring car callipers as supplied by AP to other WORKS teams for THAT specific application . Just because they weren't used by the FORD works team, doesn't mean they weren't used by other WRC teams .
Sorry Mike, I thought you were a Ford man, I hadn't realised your car was a bitsa
Nope, I have what works BEST, hence non-standard dash, non-standard brakes, non-standard transmission, non-standard engine etc etc .

marco i'd put money on the 6pot stopping quicker than the 4pot on the 330mm disc.

But in the real world what is the point in monster brake set ups for road use if the tyres cant handle it ? waste of money unless you do a lot of track days and are prepaired to use slicks no good having stopping power if everytime you hit the pedal it rips the tread clean off and locks the wheels up hence actualy increasing your stopping distance !

Regards Doug .

Not true, Ive never been near a track, I had my only 'incident' in the Cossie because I increased Power beyond the braking & they faded. I now use AP 6pots which are fine up to 600bhp, but beyond that start to fade badly & they are now not able to cope as I would wish. Dont get wheels locking as you suggest as the car is properly set-up & uses D01j Dunlops.

Marco,
I would find that surprising if that was true, as the CP5570 6-pots use a larger pad, so common sense and physics would dictate that they would perform better, even if it was a just a few metres better stopping (not measurable on an "arse dyno "), but yet still BETTER. They can't be anything else, as the pads have more surface area AND more pressure from the 6-pots.

The pad that Dave posted up is the AP 4-pot. The 6-pot one is 152mm long.

Mike, with 4 pots or 6 pots is the PRESSURE not the same (as dictated by pedal/servo)? I. E. pressure within the brake lines is identical, but the advantage of the 6 pots is that this pressure is spread over a larger area with 6 pots?

Hi Mike

i understand what your saying and yes about the pad area

i know 2 people that had the AP 6 pots (Cp 5750 not 100% on part no)small 6 pots on their 330mm discs and both swaped them back to the 4 pot (CP 5200) on the 330mm disc they found them better allround

their's were just road cars and stayed on the road

personally i know they are all good brakes

ap's rock
