im sure someone tested these a while ago and they would not undo a wheel nut, then the battery will probably run otu half way through.

Yup, but ours were supplied for less than £140

Try your local sealey stockist (a local good motor factor)

Once charged ours will last all weekend and we are swapping wheels all the time

I've got the 18.5v [i think] snap-on one, comes with 2 batterys and a charger, only take a hour to recharge and batterys last fairly well aswell, i haven't come accross something it won't undo yet, that includes subframe bolts, crank pulleys, flywheels, hub nuts etc etc!

Deffo well worth the money, even if it was £550 iirc.

We use them wherever and whenever we can, when stripping or building cars, changing gearboxes, suspension etc Saves masses of time

Not much use for robbing post offices with tho

I use a Snap On one which is great but it was mighty expensive, it will undo nearly anything though

Seen quite a few rally cars with the Sealey ones strapped in the boot so they can't be bad either, and at less than half the price of the Snap On one they sound like a bargain

My Snap On one has been fine for yrs

The Rally team I know of though use Snap On everything except their impact guns so maybe they have found the same problems you did Tim

I wont replace mine till its broke, which tbh I hope doesn't happen.

I also have the sealey one and it is excellent. A word of warning though, dont leave the battery on charge overnight (i forgot about it!),cause the casing will melt, the battery splits in two,and you spend the next day stripping your car kicking yourself cause you have to do it manually.
