Default Opinions on what to do?

I was all up for selling my RS 2000 and buying a sapph cossie (Finny's old car). But a Motorsport develpment built and Bayjoo mapped RS 2000 I4 has recently come up for sale. The I4 should be good for 230-240 bhp.

Question is what would be the best car? (Take a look in my garage to see my other mods). I'd love the sapph, but a 230bhp RS 2000 would be cool and a bit different!

I'm finding it hard to decide!

i'd say saff still TBH, if you can cope with it breaking all the time

cos you'll soon get bored of 230bhp and want more

Is it a mk1 or 2 re2000 ?????

If yes then you must be a total loony to even think of changing it for a saff cossie

It depends what your using it for. Personally, i'd go for the 230 - 240 RS2000, but I wouldn't have thought it'd be good for much hard mileage before needing a re-build if it's tuned that much.

Default Rs 2000 or cossie

If it was a mk 1 or 2 rs 2k i'd say keep it and don't sell it (classics) but as its a mk 6 escort my vote is get a cossie

I was sort of siding with the saph myself, I'd love the 230 bhp engine, but i'm scared of getting bored very quickly!

In that case, honestly how bad are cossies for breaking?

I had this discussion the other day with Matt (Guzzler) off here and we both agreed that if you don't drive the car like a total twat all the time and maintain it properly it's no worse than any other car ! All these people who slag off RST's that 'always break down' are the ones who don't maintain them properly

I had a seies 2 for a year and the only thing i broke was the gearbox Then it was driven hard so it was probably my fault!!

I presume if a cossie is treated well it shouldn't develop silly piss annoying random faults?
